Introduction to Mental Health First Aid

Have you ever encountered an employee, friend or family member experiencing a mental health or substance abuse-related crisis? Mental Health First Aid teaches you about risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies to help someone and where to get more help. This two-hour course will be an introduction to the full course which is typically eight hours and which many employers offer to their employees.

Added Bonus: Legislative Update from League of MN Cities Intergovernmental Relations staff from 11:00 to 11:30 am, after the Mental Health First Aid presentation. There will also be a short business meeting to elect officers and present the Treasurer’s Report.

Certified by the National Council for Behavioral Health as a Mental Health First Aid Instructor for Youth, Adult, Older Adult, Police/Corrections and Higher Education. 50+ Mental Health First Aid classes taught.
